Explore the World of Fairview

Fairview Chronicles tells the story of Randall Covington, a disgraced history professor, who travels to the town of Fairview after receiving a cryptic letter from a person claiming themselves to be the Grand Cleric. There is a dark and strange magic coursing through the heart of Fairview. It has become a place of mystical and dark means, a harbinger for some unseen cosmic evil.

As Randall faces the madness of Fairview and the darkness that resides just beyond the edge of every shadow, he finds companionship with an unlikely pair of people. Alongside the local deputy Sheriff and an astrophysicist from the Genesys Laboratories Randall dives into the secrets of Fairview and uncovers more than he, and his companions, bargained for. They inadvertently open a pandora’s box of legendary creatures, mystical practitioners, and a cosmic agent of chaos.

While the core inspiration for the series and the universe comes from author Johnathan Paul’s hometown of Gainesville, the narrative is also equally inspired by the written work of HP Lovecraft, Steven King, and Robert W. Chambers. However, these are not the only inspirations, as the author also cites the work of Steven Spielberg, Terry Gilliam, and Chris Claremont as sources. Fairview Chronicles and it’s narrative’s are a part of a much larger trans-media fantasy franchise entitled The Realm of Legends.

Fairview Chronicles I: A Wayward Proposition

“Good boy, Mr. Covington,” an ominous, disembodied voice calls out from the darkness of the woods. After hearing the voice Randall comes to his senses and feels his hand gripping tightly to a knife, a knife buried in the back of a man dressed in black. With chaos and anxiety we begin the journey of Book One of Johnathan Paul’s mystical fantasy series known as Fairview Chronicles. Mixing dark fantasy with sci-fi and a pinch of cosmic horror we are introduced to the world of Fairview and the exploits of the disgraced history professor Randall Covington. Randall travels to Fairview with one goal in mind, to find redemption. As he arrives he finds that there are otherworldly forces at work, and he may find redemption, but at the cost of his life.
